Jack is eleven months already!  He spent the afternoon at his friend Abigail's house yesterday and had a great time.

Jack taught himself something new today.  He can now pull himself up to a standing position.  When I walked in to get him from his nap, he was standing in his crib, very proud of his new accomplishment!

Jack successfuly completed his first swimming lessons. At the end of each day, the kids would play in a fountain. In this picture, Jack is enjoying the water with one of his friends.

Jack spent the week at the Jersey shore with eight of his cousins.  Never before has he been so entertained!  Here he is playing with Nate, Ben and Josh. 

Nine Months Old

Jack has reached another milestone - 9 months! He has learned how to scoot himself across the floor, and is on his way to crawling. He loves music and likes to shake his bottom to the rhythm. Next week he will take his first vacation to the Jersey shore.

Baptism

Jack was baptized with several other babies at our church this morning. This was not a believer's baptism, as infants are clearly too young to make a profession of faith. Instead, our church practices infant baptism as a symbol of our covenant with God to raise our children to know and love Jesus Christ.

Jack is growing up so fast, we can barely keep up. He is growing out of clothes that we couldn't imagine him ever being big enough to fit into. Today, he went to church wearing his big boy sandals.

Jack can sleep almost anywhere.  Today, we found him asleep in his Johnny Jump Up.  Sleeping with his bottom in the air, however, is his favorite way to sleep.

Seven Months

We can hardly believe that Jack is seven months old. He has outgrown the infant bathtub, so we bathe him in the kitchen sink. He doesn't seem to mind the switch.
